1. Purpose

This Lost & Found Policy outlines the terms under which DigiCab Technologies Private Limited ("DigiCab", "we", "us", or "our") assists customers in recovering personal items left behind in our vehicles after the completion of a trip.


2. Scope

This policy applies to all customers who have used DigiCab's self-drive car rental services and wish to report lost items. DigiCab offers assistance but does not guarantee recovery or return of lost belongings.


3. Responsibility of Users

  • It is the customer’s sole responsibility to ensure that all personal belongings are removed from the vehicle before ending the trip.
  • Users are encouraged to thoroughly inspect the car (seats, glove box, boot, etc.) before locking and ending the booking.
  • DigiCab will not be liable for any loss or damage to personal items left in the vehicle after the trip.

4. Reporting a Lost Item

Customers can report a lost item by:

  • Logging into their DigiCab account and reporting through the “Lost & Found” feature in the “My Bookings” section, or
  • Contacting our customer care via:

To process a lost item report, users must provide:

  • Trip details (date, time, vehicle number, booking ID)
  • A clear description of the lost item
  • Location within the vehicle (if known)

5. Item Retrieval Process

  • Once a lost item is reported, DigiCab will coordinate with the fleet operations and logistics teams to attempt recovery.
  • If the item is located, we will contact the customer within 48–72 hours to arrange return.
  • Proof of ownership may be requested before handing over any item.
  • Items may be:
    • Collected in person from a DigiCab hub
    • Shipped to the user via courier at the user's cost

6. Unclaimed Items

  • Items unclaimed for 30 calendar days from the date of recovery will be considered abandoned.
  • DigiCab reserves the right to dispose of or donate unclaimed items responsibly, without further notice to the user.

7. Liability Disclaimer

  • DigiCab is not liable for:
    • The recovery, loss, or condition of any personal belongings.
    • Cash, jewelry, identification documents, or electronic devices left in vehicles.
    • Delay in recovery or return of lost items.
  • While we make every reasonable effort to help, recovery is not guaranteed.

8. Amendments

DigiCab reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time without prior notice. The updated policy will be published on our website and will take effect from the date of publication.
